There is no doubt that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a buzzword in our world today. So, what exactly is Artificial Intelligence? Artificial means, not natural or rather something made by man while Intelligence means how well a person/system (eg. AI) can think and understand things. Combining both words (Artificial Intelligence -AI), AI can simply be described as machines designed to think and learn like (this suggests Artificial) humans.
In trying to understand AI further, what are the main components of Intelligence? Let's put in mind the following sentence : Paul's intelligence really helped him in solving that complex (and NOT simple) problem. So, for Paul to come up with solution(s) to the complex problem solved, it means Paul has the following:
(a) Ability to understand things quickly
(b) Ability to learn new things quickly
(c) Ability to solve problems
(d) Ability to understand new ideas quickly
(e) Ability to make quick decisions
(f) Ability to adapt to new situations.
